Recent research in the field of neuroscience provides unprecedented insight into how the brain is structured and works. These new insights into how the brain functions create an extraordinary opportunity for developing new skills and behaviors. In particular, there is new neuroscience science surrounding positive emotions and their affect on health, personal effectiveness, open mindedness, and creativity.

In this Crescendo Connect Conversation, Mary Casey, from BrainSkills@Work will share what she has learned about applying neuroscience to access transformational thinking, creativity, innovation and managing change and complexity. Attendees will learn key findings about the brain, and how the emotional center of the brain directly impacts our thinking/feeling loops, and how shifting to positive emotional states activates the higher thinking region of the brain – the prefrontal cortex. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to experience and practice a key tool that will help them develop their ability to shift to positive emotional states to open up the higher center of the brain and their access to more open minded perspectives and creativity.
